ETSU baseball squares off against Furman

ETSU is on a 5 game winning streak, coming off a 7-3 victory against Virginia Tech on Tuesday.

Now the Bucs will travel to Greeneville, South Carolina to face the Furman Paladins in conference play. The first game of the three-game series is on April 21 at 6 p.m.

These are some important conference games for the Bucs who are looking to gain some steam against conference foes. Their conference record is 2-7, which sits them at the bottom of the conference.

The Paladins are dwelling at the bottom of the standings as well, holding on to a 4-8 record.

Junior pitcher Will Gaddis will start for Furman Friday. He is 3-3 on the year with a 2.30 ERA in nine starts. His ERA is the second-best in the conference and has only allowed 18 runs this season.

Junior pitcher Ryan Simpler will take the mound for ETSU. His record is 5-3 with a 3.02 ERA. His ERA is the fifth-best in conference and he has held batters to a .258 batting average and 20 runs.
